Supporting healthy development throughout our community

The Encompass Child Care Health Consultation team provides free guidance and support to licensed childcare programs, preschools, before/after school care programs, summer camps, nannies, grandparents and all other caregivers. Our goal is to empower childcare providers to nurture the healthy development and school readiness of all children in their care. With a strength based, trauma informed and healing centered lens, we work to support the wellbeing of childcare providers, children, and families.

The Encompass Child Care Health Consultation team can provide support with:

Strategies to support children’s development, social/emotional and behavioral health

can include on-site observation of classroom environments and individual children
assistance with creating visual supports

Developmental screenings and referral

Ages and Stages developmental screening questionnaires completed by parents and teachers
Vision and hearing screening
Support for teachers and families in navigating the evaluation referral process

Resources and information on children’s health, wellness, and safety

Lending library of books and materials for use in the classroom

Health policy review
Care plans for children with special needs

Education and training – free STARS hours!
