Event Details
Story Group is a narrative therapy and social group for children ages 8-10 using creative storytelling activities such as sand tray, art, short films, and more. This 7-week group will engage children in exploring their personal stories, building resilience, fostering a sense of agency, and strengthening their social and emotional skills through creative storytelling in a supportive group environment. The group will use narrative therapy principles to help children externalize and explore their challenges while working to strengthen their self-esteem.
Story Group is a good fit for children who have experienced life changes, children who are working on building self-confidence, and children who would benefit from therapeutically guided social interaction.
The Story Group will run on Thursdays at the Encompass Child Development Center.

Sessions will be billed as group therapy to insurance.
