Nela Cumming has been chosen to lead Encompass as Executive Director. For the past five months, Cumming has been the Interim Executive Director and served in Encompass staff leadership roles for six years, most recently as the Director of Pediatric Therapy. She has been deeply involved in the pediatric therapy services provided by Encompass and has more than 25 years of experience in social services in addition to being an involved parent in the community.
National attention turned to early learning programs like the one at Encompass last Wednesday during the White House Summit on Early Education. President Barack Obama called on business leaders, philanthropists, advocates, elected officials and members of the public to invest in the expansion of early childhood opportunities for children across the country through Invest in US.
