Even when a parent/caregiver has a strong feeling that something is going on with their child that they don’t quite understand, a diagnosis can be really difficult to accept. Processing the grief associated with a diagnosis can be a very challenging path for families and can lead to frustration, miscommunication, and hurt feelings.
