Workshops and Sessions
Encompass offers a number of free opportunities for caregivers to come and learn about a particular topic or just chat with other parents. Our workshops and sessions provide accurate, research-based parenting information that has been vetted by our expert staff. We strive to create an environment that is interactive and conversational, inviting participants to share their knowledge and advice in an open discussion format.
We choose a variety of topics with the following goals in mind:
- Increasing knowledge of age-appropriate child development, needs, and behaviors
- Increasing knowledge of parental roles and responsibilities
- Providing techniques to help promote positive parent-child relationships
Free Parenting Workshops
Encompass provides informal workshops facilitated by Encompass staff at community locations throughout the Snoqualmie Valley and Sammamish area during the school year. Topics include executive functioning skills, temper tantrums, early literacy, behavior building blocks, temperament, red flags in child development, and more. Lunch and Learns
Bring your lunch to local libraries and join other parents to learn and talk about topics important to your child’s development. Beverages will be provided, and we’ll have toys and books available to help keep your children occupied.
