Transitioning to Parenthood

May 3, 2023, 1:15 pm - 2:00 pm

Event Details

A postpartum support group for parents/caregivers of babies from birth to 6 months.

There are very few transitions that impact everyday life quite like parenthood. A new identity, expectations, sharing of space, responsibilities, and existing relationships . . . all of these are impacted. The change can be overwhelming and trigger a variety of conflicting emotions.
This 12-week therapeutic group offers a safe space to explore those emotions, meet other new parents/caregivers, and be supported by the strength of community. The transition to parenthood can be exciting, joyful, stressful, and scary. Many people want to change generational patterns or learn new strategies for parenting but donโ€™t know how to start โ€“ we are here to help support you in that process. This group is focused on helping parenting individuals address their own attachment so they can better connect with their infant.

The Transitioning to Parenthoodย series will run on Wednesdays for 12 weeks at the Encompass Child Development Center – 9050 384th Ave SE, Snoqualmie.
