Are you interested in learning more about how to help your child thrive even while navigating life’s challenges?
This 90-minute workshop is designed for caregivers who want to learn more about child and family resilience, and will briefly cover topics like instilling frustration tolerance, mental flexibility, connecting, and self-confidence. Strengthening resilience aids the therapeutic process and sets the foundation for lifelong individual and family wellness.
Resilience is the ability to cope and adapt when faced with stress or adversity. Stress for children can come from life changes, from coping with mental health symptoms like anxiety, from gaps in social skills, from gaps in executive functioning skills, and more. Children experience stress in ways they often can’t articulate, so we must understand risk, adaptive, and protective factors to help them along their journey.
This interactive workshop will be led by licensed Child and Family Therapist, Amber Eckert, LSWAIC. It will encourage self-reflection and collaboration and will explore practical strategies to implement at home.
