Adventures in Self-Discovery Group

July 2, 2024, 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Event Details

An adventure-themed group for high-energy 6-8-year-olds who would benefit from practicing social-emotional skills through activity.

This unique therapy group is crafted for busy kids who would benefit from learning through play and activity. The format of this group follows along a “quest,” where social-emotional skills are learned and practiced through adventure-themed activities. Each adventure is designed to empower kids to navigate the complexities of emotions and relationships with confidence, by focusing on emotional regulation, problem-solving, healthy relationships, and judgment and decision-making. Led by experienced therapists, this dynamic program fosters positive peer interactions and is sure to be a fun and productive addition to your child’s summer.

When: Tuesdays in July beginning July 2 through July 30, from 1:00-2:30 pm

Where: Encompass Child Development Center in Snoqualmie. Part of each group will take place outside, so please send your child wearing sunscreen and/or a jacket as appropriate.

Facilitators: Encompass Child and Family Therapist Amber Eckert, LSWAIC, and Encompass Child and Family Therapy Intern Shannon Murphree.

*Groups are limited to 5 kids per session.

* *Note: Siblings need to be in separate groups. Kids need their own space to explore some of these issues and being in the same group with a family member can stifle that process.
