An Encompass Family Thriving through Love, Compassion, Support & Dedication

December 2, 2014  |  Pediatric Therapy  |  By Encompass

therayfamStaci and Sean Ray were brave enough to share their Encompass journey at our annual Autumn Gala and now we would like to share it with you. Please keep in mind that the Rays are just one of many families that need the critical support provided by Encompass.

Feeling defeated by the loss of a baby girl born at 20 weeks and another at full term, Staci and Sean began researching adoption in 2011. Soon after becoming foster care certified, they brought Abigail, two years old, and Liam, seven weeks old, into their home. Both children had been neglected, abused, malnourished and infected with scabies and MRSA from head to toe. They were both also struggling with developmental delays.

Because Staci and Sean were deeply rooted in the Snoqualmie Valley, they knew exactly where to turn and made their first of many calls to Encompass. Within less than a year, Abigail and Liam were thriving with the feeding, speech, motor and mental therapy support they received from Encompass. Having developed an unbreakable bond, Staci and Sean officially adopted Abigail and Liam!

On October 2, 2013 Abigail and Liam’s biological mother gave birth to another baby boy. After careful consideration, the Rays were thrilled to bring him into their home and unite the siblings. But, there was one more surprise around the corner… a few weeks later, Staci found out she was pregnant with a perfectly healthy baby girl!

In just two years, the Ray family grew from a family of two to a healthy family of six. Dedication and support from eleven Encompass services combined with powerful love and compassion from Staci and Sean has led to an inspiring success story in our community.
