Mental Health therapy can help parents support their children struggling with self-esteem issues, anxiety, poor emotional regulation, aggressive and disruptive behaviors in school, and other adjustment and connection concerns.
We offer general family enhancement counseling and parent coaching & support in addition to the following interventions:
- Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) for ages 3-8: A short-term, specialized behavior management program where the therapist observes the caregiver and child together then provides live coaching to the caregiver on how to implement the PCIT skills.
- Promoting First Relationships (PFR) for ages 0-6: Practical, in-depth, effective strategies for promoting secure and healthy relationships between caregivers and young children.
- Trust Based Relational Interventions (TBRI) for ages 0-8: TBRI focuses on helping caregivers connect with their children while using empowering strategies to benefit body, brain and spirit. TBRI looks at the whole child in order to boost the child’s ability to be available for connection and learn to trust loving, connected caregivers.
- Art therapy: A therapy that allows children and families to creatively express themselves and communicate with visual language to access new communication pathways.
- Circle of Security® Parenting™ : The Circle of Security® Parenting™ program is a attachment-based parenting education program that helps parents learn to better understand their own attachment patterns and build healthy relationships with their children. This program supports parents to: understand their child’s emotional world by learning to read emotional needs, support their child’s ability to successfully manage emotions, enhance the development of their child’s self esteem and honor the innate wisdom and desire for their child to feel secure within their world.
