Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT)
ESIT provides developmental support for children birth to age 3 and their families. All children can thrive with the right supports. The earlier we begin, the more we can do together!
Our Approach
We support children and families with everyday skills like eating, sleeping, walking, talking, playing, learning, and building relationships. Our team of speech, occupational, and physical therapists, developmental specialists, and family resource coordinators uses a caregiver coaching model to work with your family in the places your child naturally learns and plays—at home, daycare, or in the community.
Together, we build on your child’s strengths and create strategies that fit into your family’s daily routines.
Specialized Programs
CHERISH: CHERISH™ (CHildren Encouraged by Relationships in Secure Homes) is a program to promote the social-emotional well-being of children involved in the child welfare system that was developed by Kindering. Young children are particularly vulnerable and may need special support to get the right start in life. CHERISH supports both child and parent/caregiver as they connect with each other.
NOURISH: Feeding and lactation support tailored to your child’s unique needs.
Hospital to Home Transition: Helping families and infants adjust after leaving the neonatal intensive care unit or hospital.
Getting Started
All families with a child aged birth-3 are eligible for a developmental evaluation at no cost to them. We’ll schedule a time for an in-home visit to assess your child’s development and discuss your family’s needs.
If you are looking for support for your child aged 3-11, visit our Pediatric Therapy page or call 425-888-3347.
