June 25, 2019  |  Child Development, Parent Talks Podcast, Play  |  By Encompass

It’s not just fun and games; playtime can affect so many areas of a child’s development. Whether you’re the creative type or more of a rule follower, you’ll be sure to get some great advice on playing with your kids from someone who gets paid to play for a living: Encompass Speech-Language Pathologist Lindsey Cooper.

Resources:

  • We use the Kaleidoscope Play & Learn model in our Toddler Groups. Click here to see the Kaleidoscope Play & Learn Pinterest page, which includes a lot of great arts and crafts ideas for toddlers.
  • Our ParentChild+ program partners with Zeno Math to provide fun math games that parents and children can play together. Their website has a bunch of free math games that you can download, print, and play at home! Instructions for games are available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Amharic, Russian, Somali, and Arabic.
