Encompass Nurture Groups

September 13, 2021, 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Event Details

A weekly small group for children ages 5-8 years

TBRI® Nurture Groups are weekly small groups that promote children’s social and emotional growth in a playful, supportive group setting in our child development center. Skills such as emotion regulation, body awareness, social skills, boundaries, and respectful communication are introduced, practiced, and reinforced in a playful, engaging way with group facilitators and peers. Nurture Groups are based on the Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®) framework and are supervised by a TBRI® Practitioner and Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Any child with previous or current involvement in the foster care or adoption system is eligible for participation in this group. Each series will include fun activities, group ‘talk time’ with guided topics and games/crafts with cohesive themes to help build trust, normalize feelings, and make connections with kids who share similar experiences.

Groups will meet weekly for 10 weeks beginning Monday, September 13 through Monday, November 15.

Nurture Groups are free, but registration is required: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/encompass-nurture-groups-tickets-167382183617
