What is the Encompass Pediatric Therapy Clinic?

The Encompass Pediatric Therapy Clinic is an outpatient clinic that provides therapy services in a variety of disciplines to help children 0-8 reach social-emotional, communication, adaptive, sensory, cognitive, and physical developmental milestones. All of our interventions rely on evidence-based practice, ensuring that your family is getting top-quality care.

In 2017, Encompass Pediatric Therapy Clinic received Neurodevelopmental Center status from the State of Washington. Our clinic is outfitted with equipment specially-designed for the treatment of young children, and our Mobile Therapy Unit is a comfy, high tech therapy space on wheels! Our highly-trained staff have expertise in the field of pediatrics using a variety of therapy techniques and approaches. For children receiving multiple therapies, our team of therapists collaborates to provide seamless care from one appointment to the next.

What types of therapy does the Encompass Pediatric Therapy Clinic offer?

The Encompass Pediatric Therapy Clinic offers therapy programs in a variety of disciplines, including:

How do I know if my child needs clinic-based services?

To determine the necessity of services, we first begin with an evaluation to learn more about your child’s needs. We provide a collaborative, thoughtful intake process to determine the most appropriate therapy discipline(s) for your child. Once we schedule an evaluation, you and your child will meet with a highly-qualified evaluating therapist. Our evaluations are individualized to the unique needs of each child, and may include a combination of caregiver interview, play-based scenarios, standardized assessments, and informal observations. After the evaluating therapist gets to know your child, the therapist will inform you of the recommendation for therapy services or external supports.

Can my child receive clinic-based services if s/he didn’t qualify for school services?

Possibly! Many who receive school-based services would also benefit from clinic-based services, and many children who do not qualify for school-based services would benefit from clinic-based services. There are differences in the treatment models of schools and clinics. In short, the Encompass Pediatric Therapy Clinic uses a medical model, focusing on a child’s functional ability to participate in his/her home and community. In lieu of qualification criteria, therapy services are recommended after evaluation by a therapist. Encompass therapists work collaboratively with school-based and other clinic-based therapists and educators to provide best-in-class treatment.

What are the costs associated with clinic-based services?

Encompass Pediatric Therapy services are billed through insurance or through private payment. We offer a flexible payment plan and can work with families should they need assistance in payment options.
