A board-game-based therapy group for kids who tend to bottle up their big feelings.
‘The Insiders’ is a therapy group for elementary-aged kids who tend to bottle up their big feelings. It offers a nurturing space where they can explore their emotions and enhance crucial relationship skills through the captivating world of board games.
Led by compassionate therapists, this group is specifically tailored for children who struggle with expressing their emotions openly. Through engaging gameplay and supportive interactions, participants embark on a journey of self-discovery, learning to understand and acknowledge their feelings in a safe and encouraging environment. Board games serve as a catalyst for fostering peer relationships, improving frustration tolerance, enhancing self-awareness, and refining executive functioning skills. In “The Insiders,” every roll of the dice and every strategic move becomes an opportunity for growth and development. By providing a structured yet flexible framework, the group empowers children to gradually open up, express themselves, and build meaningful connections with their peers.
