You can be your child’s Emotion Coach!
Everyone has emotions — especially children. And what children do with their emotions is crucial for optimal child development. So, what can you do when your preschooler or grade-schooler is angry or frustrated? Do your children know how to label and regulate their feelings?
Find out how to be your child’s Emotion Coach at a FREE workshop, “Emotion Coaching,” developed by the Talaris and Gottman institutes.
The workshop is taught by Kerry Beymer, a certified Parenting Counts (Talaris) instructor and Parenting Education and Support manager for Encompass.
This evidence-based program will improve your communication and relationship with your child. In this workshop, you will (1) learn how to tune into your child’s feelings and your own, (2) use emotional moments as opportunities to connect with your child, (3) respect your child’s feelings by taking time to listen carefully, (4) help your child identify and name emotions and, best of all, (5) explore solutions to problems together.
We taught four recent sessions of "Emotion Coaching" in the Issaquah Highlands, and all four filled up instantly. So sign up soon!
