Volunteer Program Manager
Baby Corner Driver — (Thursday mornings 1-2 times per month) Encompass families rely on donated items that we pickup from Eastside Baby Corner in Issaquah. Seeking a reliable Thursday volunteer with a car who can pick-up the items between 9 and 11 a.m. and deliver them back to Encompass in North Bend. Email us if you are available.
Clinic Receptionist — (various times available weekly, Encompass Pediatric Clinic) Our pediatric therapy clinic is seeking front office volunteers to answer the phone and greet families as they arrive. This person may participate in office projects as needed. We can accommodate a set weekly or flexible “call as needed” schedule. Email us with your availability to find out what our current needs are.
Community Flyer Outreach — Want to explore new or familiar areas of your community? We are looking for assistance with delivery of flyers throughout North Bend, Snoqualmie, Fall City, Carnation, and Duvall. You can do this whenever you have time during the day! Alternatively, help us post the opportunities online, from your home or our office.
Preschool Classroom Support — (9 a.m.-12 p.m. or 1-4 p.m., Encompass Early Learning Center or Carnation Preschool) Want to help out in the classroom? Kids are back in preschool starting January 2nd, and teachers welcome an ongoing helper. Assist the teachers with learning centers, classroom management, projects, reading, playing and having fun. The benefits? Children get one-on-one support to hit their developmental milestones, and you get to learn more about early childhood development, positive discipline, and executive functioning. Explore a new career, elevate your skill set or showcase your talent…but most of all, make a difference in children’s lives.
Sibshops Teen Mentor — (2-5 p.m. on the first Friday of the month in North Bend or 2:30-5:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday of the month in Sammamish) Did you grow up as the sibling of a child with special needs? Encompass is seeking teens to help support younger children experiencing a similar situation to themselves. Sibshops provides an opportunity to celebrate the many lifelong contributions made by brothers and sisters of people with special health and developmental needs. If you are a teen who grew up with a sibling with special needs, email us to see how you can get involved.
For more information on these or other opportunities, or to sign-up for any of the above, email Erin or give her a call!
If you have other ideas or talents that could benefit the Encompass mission, we encourage you to reach out to us! Thank you for striving for a community where ALL children thrive.
