Volunteer Program Manager
VOLUNTEER AT ONE OF OUR EVENTS:
December 10 — Parents Night Out, 3:45-8:15pm, Encompass Early Learning Center: [Childcare Volunteer] Come spend time with 2-10-year-old kids at Encompass! You will be helping to set up and do a craft project, serving a pizza dinner, reading books, redirecting behaviors when necessary, and involving the kids in cleaning up the room. PNO is the 2nd Saturday of most months. Email to sign-up.
December 13 — Moms Babysitting, 9:15-11:15am, Snoqualmie Valley Alliance: [Childcare Volunteer] Assist our staff member to take care of the children while their moms attend Moms meetings. This is a lot of fun — tire those kids out! Moms meets the 3rd Tuesday most months. Email to sign-up.
VOLUNTEER IN AN ONGOING POSITION:
Starting September 6 — Preschool Classroom Support, 9-12pm or 1-4pm, Encompass Early Learning Center: Want to help out in the classroom? Kids are back in preschool starting September 6th, and teachers welcome an ongoing helper. Assist the teachers with learning centers, classroom management, projects, reading, playing and having fun. Come spend three hours with 3-4 year olds as they learn, grow, and melt your heart day after day. The benefits? Children get one-on-one support to hit their developmental milestones, and you get to learn more about early childhood development, positive discipline, and executive functioning which you can apply in your personal life. Explore a new career, elevate your skills set or showcase your talent, but most of all, make a difference in children’s lives.Flexible Dates — Office Assistant, Encompass Pediatric Clinic or Early Learning Center: Extra hands are always welcome at our two offices in North Bend. We have many projects that need to be completed such as helping ready our home program materials, prepping craft projects, sanitizing the playroom, filing and data entry, or taking notes for our weekly meetings. We also sometimes have a need for weekly receptionist positions. Email us with your availability to find out what our current needs are.
Board of Directors: Did you know our Board of Directors is also made of volunteers? If you are looking for a deeper commitment to Encompass, consider joining the board. These volunteers are responsible for maintaining the budget, overseeing initiatives, and making sure Encompass is fulfilling our mission. Email us for more info.
Pro-bono/Professional: Do you have skills that could be of benefit to the Encompass mission? We often need photographers for our events, marketing expertise, and other office specialists. Email us to share your ideas.
Yard-work and Handyman Skills: Especially in the spring and summer, we utilize volunteers to help us wrangle the weeds in our yard and do general maintenance on our grounds. We also have a need for one-off handyman tasks inside our offices. Let us know if you can help us.
- To become an Encompass volunteer, please download and complete our volunteer application. Return to Erin at firstname.lastname@example.org. Volunteers also must complete an interview with the volunteer manager.
- Ongoing volunteers must attend an orientation. There is one scheduled on the first Thursday of every month from 4:15 to 4:45pm at the Encompass Early Learning Center, 1407 Boalch Ave NW, North Bend, WA 98045. You will learn more about Encompass, finalize your paperwork, and get more information for your volunteer position. If you can’t make it, or want to get started sooner, call us to set-up a different time. Next orientation is December 1st. (Please RSVP.) Event volunteers will be trained at the start of the event.
