Volunteer Program Manager
May 20, 2017 — Challenge Races — 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Snoqualmie Ridge. Volunteer to face paint with Encompass at this event where kids of all abilities have the chance to race soap box derby style down the streets of Snoqualmie Ridge.
May 21, June 4, 11, 17, 2017 — Challenger Baseball Buddies. Volunteer to buddy up one-on-one with a baseball player with special needs. Youth ages 5-18 are partnered with peer volunteers to help them get ready, bat, and defend as needed. No baseball knowledge required! See more information on the Snoqualmie Valley Little League site.
June 14, 2017 — Carnation Preschool Celebration — 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Carnation Elementary. Help to celebrate the end of the preschool year. Volunteers will help monitor the bouncy house or paint faces so that teachers can have a chance to meet with parents.
June 17, 2017 — Decorating and Planting — 10:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. in North Bend. Join our kinship families as they decorate pots and then plant them with strawberries.
June 21, 2017 — North Bend Preschool Celebration — 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. in North Bend. Help to celebrate the end of the preschool year. Volunteers will help monitor the bouncy houses or paint faces so that teachers can have a chance to meet with parents.
July 3 – August 18, 2017 — Summer Camp — 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. or 1 – 4 p.m. Monday-Friday in North Bend. Join Encompass in providing 33 uniquely themed camps to children ages 2-7. Volunteers will assist summer camp staff in provided a fun and safe environment, and giving additional one-on-one support to children. Must be 14 or older and commit to at least one full camp (3-5 days).
July 4, 2017 — Family Fourth of July — 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Snoqualmie Ridge. Families, community organizations, and local businesses come together for a day of celebration, including face painting, train rides, games, and more. Join Encompass to run the circus train during the event, and help get kids and adults safely boarded.
July 8, 2017 — Parents Night Out — 4 – 8 p.m. in North Bend. Come spend time with 2-10-year-old kids at Encompass! You will be helping to set up and do a craft project, serving a pizza dinner, reading books, redirecting behaviors when necessary, and involving the kids in cleaning up the room. PNO is the 2nd Saturday of most months.
July 22, 2017 — North Bend Block Party — 12 – 7 p.m. in North Bend. Join Encompass during this big community event in downtown North Bend. Encompass will be keeping the fun going in the Kids Zone, painting faces, and spinning the prize wheel.
August 19-20, 2017 — Snoqualmie Railroad Days — 12 – 4 p.m. each day in downtown Snoqualmie. Be part of 79 years of trains, timber and traditions with Encompass at the 2017 Railroad Days. Encompass will be running the kids area and painting faces, so please join us.

Community Flyer Outreach — Want to explore new areas of your community? We are looking for assistance with delivery of flyers throughout North Bend, Snoqualmie, Fall City, Carnation, and Duvall.
Sibshops Teen Mentor — (2-5pm on the first Friday of the month in North Bend or 2:30-5:30 on the third Wednesday of the month in Sammamish) Did you grow up as the sibling of a child with special needs? Encompass is seeking teens to help support younger children experiencing a similar situation to themselves. Preschool Classroom Support — (9-12pm or 1-4pm, Encompass Early Learning Center or Carnation Preschool) Want to help out in the classroom? Kids are back in preschool starting January 3rd, and teachers welcome an ongoing helper. Assist the teachers with learning centers, classroom management, projects, reading, playing and having fun.
