Volunteer Program Manager

Thank you for checking out our volunteer opportunities! Encompass relies on our great volunteers to help us provide best-in-class services to the community. We have both ongoing and one-time volunteer needs throughout the Snoqualmie Valley, so make sure to check back often for new opportunities. To join our team, please complete our online application or download the pdf and return to Erin at erin.davies@encompassnw.org. Volunteers must schedule a time to meet with the volunteer manager for an interview and orientation prior to starting your position. We look forward to having you on our team!

PROGRAM SUPPORT

Community Flyer Outreach: Want to explore new areas of your community? We are looking for assistance with delivery of flyers throughout North Bend, Snoqualmie, Fall City, Carnation, and Duvall.

Face Painters: Get ready painters! We are gearing up for a big summer that includes LOTS of face painting. Some of the dates include April 29, May 20, July 4, July 22, and August 19-20.

Yardwork: Things are starting to pick-up outside, and we are in need of some help sprucing up our grounds. We have weeding, raking, and digging in the playground. This is a great project for a group.

ONGOING OPPORTUNITIES

Challenger Baseball — (4-6 Sunday games at Torgeson Park in North Bend, one away game in Issaquah, Sammamish, or Woodinville) Starting late April through mid-June, buddy up one-on-one with a baseball player with special needs. Youth ages 5-18 are partnered with volunteers to help them get ready, bat, and defend as needed. No baseball knowledge required! See more information on the Snoqualmie Valley Little League site.
Sibshops Teen Mentor — (2-5pm on the first Friday of every month, Encompass Early Learning Center) Did you grow up as the sibling of a child with special needs? Encompass is seeking teens to help support younger children experiencing a similar situation to themselves. Sibshops provides an opportunity to celebrate the many lifelong contributions made by brothers and sisters of people with special health and developmental needs. Email us today to learn more.

Parents Night Out — (3:45-8:15pm, Encompass Early Learning Center) Come spend time with 2-10-year-old kids at Encompass! You will be helping to set up and do a craft project, serving a pizza dinner, reading books, redirecting behaviors when necessary, and involving the kids in cleaning up the room. PNO is the 2nd Saturday of most months. Email to sign-up.

Preschool Classroom Support — (9-12pm or 1-4pm, Encompass Early Learning Center or Carnation Preschool) Want to help out in the classroom? Kids are back in preschool starting January 3rd, and teachers welcome an ongoing helper. Assist the teachers with learning centers, classroom management, projects, reading, playing and having fun. The benefits? Children get one-on-one support to hit their developmental milestones, and you get to learn more about early childhood development, positive discipline, and executive functioning. Explore a new career, elevate your skill set or showcase your talent…but most of all, make a difference in children’s lives.

Pro-bono/Professional — Do you have skills that could be of benefit to the Encompass mission? We often need photographers for our events, marketing expertise, and other office specialists. Email us to share your ideas.

If you have other talents or skills you would like to share, we would love to hear from you. Thank you for being part of the Encompass mission to build healthy foundations for children.
