ABOUT BIRTH-TO-THREE EARLY INTERVENTION

The earlier a child’s developmental delays are discovered, the sooner experts can begin supporting his or her optimal growth. We provide comprehensive services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays through in-home appointments that focus on therapy, assessment, family support, and individualized programs for each child.

DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES

Low-income children and their families will receive in-home services based on the child’s needs. Our team consists of of speech, feeding, occupational and physical therapists, early childhood development specialists, family resource coordinators–and the family itself. Trained paraprofessionals will also model reading, play, and conversation activities using books and educational toys, all of which become gifts to the family.

INDIVIDUALIZED FAMILY SERVICE PLANS

A family resource coordinator convenes the team (parents, therapists and any others the family desires) to create a service plan for eligible children. The plan includes specialized service goals for the child and family, as well as resources to help achieve them.

TRANSITIONS

Six months prior to a child’s third birthday, the family resource coordinator provides the family with information regarding the service choices that will be available upon completion of the program. A meeting is then arranged with the local school district, when which a transition plan is created to assist the family in the next steps in supporting the child’s development.
